Professional Development

Ohio teachers are our most valuable and influential resource.

Teachers are OEP’s greatest resource in achieving our mission of inspiring leadership and innovation in Ohio’s students. Our goal is to provide everything you need to feel confident and successful in the classroom. OEP empowers teachers with the knowledge, skills, curriculum, and resources needed to engage students with an energy education that lasts a lifetime. Our multi-disciplinary approach integrates science education across all disciplines, emphasizing the fun and universal relevance of energy and science-related topics that help students meet Ohio’s learning standards.

No bus tour this summer, but join OEP on Tuesday, June 22 from 9:30a-12p for a virtual field trip. From the comfort of your couch, you’ll learn all things electric vehicles and will be able to engage and ask questions in real time of the program hosts. The session will include:

  • Tour of the Center of Automotive Research at Ohio State
  • Hear from students researching EV technology
  • Meet representatives from the award winning EV EcoCar team.
  • Learn what communities are doing to integrate EV technology into homes, workplaces and commercial areas.
  • Learn about EV infrastructure & charging stations.
  • Discover career opportunities available in EV.

Three contact hours will be available for participating in additional to some TBD OEP activity swag.

Interested? Register today to participate via Zoom.
