Careers in Energy showcases the industries and professionals driving our world and connects students with energy-focused opportunities in Ohio. Join us this fall for OEP’s third annual Careers Event designed for juniors and seniors interested in joining the energy field. Event will offering student sessions on leadership, resume building, and career pathways. Students will have the chance to engage with over 20 businesses dedicated to energy, learning about their impact on communities and the environment. Join Us for our Next Virtual Field Trip Featuring SWACO on December 15th, @ 1:00 PM
Join us for a Virtual Tour of SWACO, the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio. SWACO serves Franklin County and neighboring areas with solutions for solid waste. They are one of 52 solid waste districts created by the Ohio General Assembly in 1989. These districts were established with the mission of reducing reliance on landfills. On this tour we will not only get to see how solid waste is managed at the landfill but also learn about the many opportunities SWACO has to reduce this waste. We will also hear from multiple employees across SWACO about their role and impact on the community.
